OUR PLEDGE TO THE PLANET
We're fortunate to enjoy our sport in the most spectacular venue there is—Mother Nature’s own backyard. This is why stewardship of the environment is not just an add-on for us; it's a core value.
We're deeply committed. We wouldn’t have spent almost two years finding responsible factories to work with if we didn’t. But we know we're not perfect—the apparel industry comes with its challenges, and we recognise them. Despite this, we remain dedicated to making a positive impact wherever we can.
So, our pledge to you is this. We’ll continually look at ways to better ourselves as a business, and always make key decisions that put the planet first over profit.
Here are some ways we're already doing that...
WE PLANT TREES
We want to make sure we keep our seas clean and our green spaces, well, green. For every piece of clothing sold, we’ll make a donation that plants one tree with the One Tree Planted Project, who run global reforestation projects. It helps us offset some of our carbon footprint and keep our courses as green as possible, in more ways than one.
Trees are important. Not only for the planet, but on those rare occasions when you shank one out of bounds and get a big old woody kick, straight back into the middle of the fairway. We’re tree people.
SUSTAINABLE FABRIC
Instead of using cheaper, more harmful, virgin polyester, we only use recycled polyester fibres in our clothing.
Recycled polyester is made from post-consumer waste (think plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean) and has exactly the same technical performance you get from virgin polyester, but a much smaller carbon footprint. And it can be recycled again and again.
In a nutshell, wearing Flush means you’re stopping more waste going to landfill, which translates to a happier planet. Simple. As we evolve as a brand, we’ll continue to look for new sustainable fabrics that are kinder to the planet, but still possess the performance-wear properties you’ve come to expect from us.
LOW IMPACT PACKAGING
No one wants to be a waster. And the same goes for our packaging. So we only ever use the bare minimum to minimise unnecessary waste.
All the info you need, from garment care to returns and refunds, can be found by hitting the links at the bottom of the page. We’ve got rid of nasty non-recyclable garment bags, and replaced them with ones made from recyclable material. Even the mailer your items come in is fully compostable and will naturally decompose with your garden waste within 90 days.
OUR GIVE BACK TO GET BACK PROGRAMME
We want your pre-loved Flush pieces*. Just because you’re not feeling it anymore, it doesn’t mean someone else won’t. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure and all that.
If it’s in good condition, we’ll make sure it gets to someone who needs it. If the item is ahem “well worn” (yellow pit stains, we’re looking at you), we’ll make sure it gets recycled at a textile recycling plant so it can enjoy a new life as something else.
*Items can be returned to us 12 months after they were purchased.
